It’s been over a year since I officially stepped into the world of Druidry with my self-initiation into the Ancient Order of Druids in America (AODA) as a candidate. Since then I’ve also joined Order of Bards, Ovates & Druids (OBOD), finished my AODA candidate studies and advanced to apprentice, joined the Gnostic Celtic Church (GCC) as a novitiate, joined a local OBOD grove, and attended my first druid gathering at MAGUS.
This year has provided me with a deep connection to Earth and our fellow Beings, as well as a much needed inner calm.
The COVID years were very difficult on me — the fear and anxiety was high, especially for somehow getting my aging parents sick (who also both have health conditions that make them more vulnerable). That, on top of being disconnected from family and friends for their safety just amped my anxiety up to 1000%.
Druidry reconnected me to the peace and enlightenment that our Universe offers. I am most interested in the journey of finding personal Awen (roughly, inspiration) and developing my own personal gnosis. And I’m looking forward to reconnecting with my Polish/Slavic roots as well as learning more about the Beings who share this existence.
Blessings to you and your lands.
